“My husband protects me by not telling me about everything he faces at the front.”
“Each time a man goes to war, it becomes more and more difficult.”
“I get annoyed by everything at home that changes without my husband (like when we buy a new rug for our room or get a dog).”
“It’s becoming more and more difficult for me to find resources to support my husband because he is exhausted.”
These stories are just some of the hundreds of thousands of fates of Ukrainian women, girls, and mothers waiting for their husbands from the war.
For many of you, support groups have already become a safe resource space where everyone can:
- Express your feelings, worries and fears, and find support in difficult moments
- Find out how other women cope with similar conditions, how they support themselves and their loved ones
- Understand that you are not alone, that there is a powerful resource of support from other women in the group and facilitators
Next week, join our support groups for women whose husbands are at war!
